Working Groups
Working groups have been established to focus on the GWC's core interest areas. The five working groups of the GWC are:
Water for Schools Program — Kenya project
The GWC has launched an initial pilot project, the "Water for Schools" program, that will provide water and sanitation to schools and clinics in Kenya's western Nyanza Province. A core element of this pilot will be to outline scalability approaches to deliver clean water and sanitation to all schools in Kenya. As part of the project, the schools will receive point-of-use treatment to purify their water, safe water storage and hygiene education. Kenya project partners include the CARE Kenya, Center for Global Safe Water, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, The Coca-Cola Company, Millennium Water Alliance, and WaterPartners International.
Fundraising and Outreach
Fundraising and outreach focuses on resource needs, funding targets and partners for both Kenya and new GWC projects.
New Projects Identification
New projects identification focuses on new geographic areas where the GWC can offer successful intervention as well as development and application of project criteria.
Evaluation, Research and Information needs
