$25 provides school children a month's supply of soap. Washing hands with soap is the most effective and inexpensive way to prevent diarrheal and acute respiratory infections, which take the lives of millions of children in developing countries every year.

$50 provides a family of six a safe water container. When transporting clean water from the source to its final destination, there are many ways in which the water may become contaminated. A safe water container helps reduce the risk recontamination.

$75 provides teachers with educational materials on the importance of clean water, sanitation and hygiene. Improvements in water and sanitation would significantly reduce the occurrence range of diseases, including diarrhea, malaria, trachoma, intestinal helminthes, hepatitis A, arsenic poisoning, and fluorosis.

$125 provides a school a year's supply of chlorine tablets for safe and clean drinking water. Chlorine tablets disinfect water and provide an effective method of preventing the spread of water-borne diseases.

$1,500 provides a family with a safe and clean toilet. Four out of ten people around the world have no access to improved sanitation. Inadequate sanitation for millions of women and girls leads to a loss of dignity and is a source of insecurity for millions of women and girls. They wait until before dawn or after dusk for privacy. Access to a safe and clean toilet not only minimizes the risk of contracting and spreading diseases, but also gives women a new sense of security.
