First Regional Forum on Water Integrity

The Water Integrity (WI) Regional Forum will focus on water issues in Central America. During the Forum, an analysis of the state of integrity in the water sector in Central America will be presented and discussed. The Forum will also focus on effective anti-corruption, transparency and accountability work in the region, and around the world. This Forum is being organized by the Water Integrity Network along with Regional Network for Water and Sanitation in Central America, Fresh Water Action Network Central America, the Regional Committee of Alianza por el Agua and Global Water Partnership Central America.

World Water Day

The objective of World Water Day 2011 is to focus international attention on the impact of rapid urban population growth, industrialization and uncertainties caused by climate change, conflicts and natural disasters on urban water systems. This year theme, "Water for cities: responding to the urban challenge," aims to spotlight and encourage governments, organizations, communities, and individuals to actively engage in addressing urban water management.
Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) Meeting

In recognition of the power of millions of individual actions, Earth Day 2011 will be organized around A Billion Acts of Green(r): Personal, organizational and corporate pledges to live and act sustainably. At over 42 million actions to date, the Billion Acts of Green(r) campaign-the largest environmental service campaign in the world-is steadily building commitments by individuals, corporations, and governments in honor of Earth Day. The goal is to register one billion actions in advance of the Earth Summit in Rio in 2012.
World Economic Forum on Latin America
